What are your thoughts OP?

purplepigs · 19/02/2019 07:52

It was okay... but there were lots of references to old movies and I don't think most of the children in the room would of understood the jokes and stuff. I find this very similar to Shrek in that way

Isn't that the point? So adults can enjoy it as well as the kids.

I enjoyed the Batman actors conversation and laughed aloud at many of the moment.

Particularly enjoyed the song that manipulated Barman too.

2cats2many · 19/02/2019 10:05

Well t he song was definitely stuck inside our head afterwards.

As for the movie, the kids enjoyed it. I liked it, but enjoyed the first one more. It was so fresh and original. Hard to live up to really.

I liked the sparkling vampires part, didn’t like it as much as the batman movie but kids and dh enjoyed it.

bsc · 19/02/2019 10:14

Haven't you seen the first one? That was basically pastiche of the matrix plus many others... What were you expecting this time?

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 19/02/2019 10:33

DH and I took 10 kids to it and all of us loved it. We've been listening to the soundtrack on a loop ever since.

LadyLannister · 19/02/2019 21:09

I didn’t enjoy it at all. I loved the first one because of the adult jokes and references throughout the film but there wasn’t as much of that in the second film. I was bored after 10 minutes, the kids didn’t really enjoy it either - it was just a massive disappointment.

thewinkingprawn · 19/02/2019 21:11

Christ I thought it was dull. One big advert for Lego and utter snooze ville. There are excellent kids movies that work on many levels, this was not one of them

PristineCondition · 19/02/2019 21:13

one big advert for lego

and the no shit Sherlock award goes too ^

InProgress · 19/02/2019 21:29

It was fine as a kids movie. I've certainly seen a lot worse. I did snort-laugh when Batman said something like "Tights? I can wear tights. Ask Adam West".

thewinkingprawn · 19/02/2019 21:37

Oh get over yourself Pristine - no need for nastiness on a thread the Lego movie for goodness sake. How utterly uncalled for.

PristineCondition · 21/02/2019 06:31

It was a film called the Lego movie 2 It shouldn’t of been a shock lego featured heavily in it..

thewinkingprawn · 21/02/2019 23:20

It wasn’t a shock 🤔
