I went to see this yesterday. I liked it very much, excellent acting all round, especially Ali and Mortensen. The social issues aside, I always love the historical setting and period details. And the fabulous US scenery. One thing I did notice was how too big, i.e. fleshy, not to mention fat so many of the extras were to be right for the time.
A lovely aspect of seeing this film in Australia, and something I've not witnessed for a few years was the spontaneous applause at the end by the audience.
