Best b&w movies for kids, ideally on Netflix

DD (11) is to watch 6 movies and write reports on them for a project over the holidays - not usually a problem as she loves films - but one has to be B&W. Due to timescale it would really help if it was on Netflix or could be downloaded from iTunes! Rewatching Bringing Up Baby I think the rapid fire dialogue would go over her head (so she'd miss the humour). Other than that can only think of silent comedies like Harold Lloyd/Charlie Chaplin/Laurel & Hardy. I'm sure I'm missing some very obvious ones. Any other suggestions very gratefully received!

To Kill A Mockingbird was my first thought - she's about the right age for that and it's on Netflix. The film is a PG, but obviously up to you if you think it's appropriate for her or not.

You could try the various classics - Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, African Queen, It's a Wonderful Life, Roman Holiday etc., but not sure if they are all on Netflix.

Oh I love To Kill A Mockingbird @NoTractorsAtTheTable but I think the rape storyline is a bit too much for DD. Can't believe I forgot Roman Holiday though: that's a brilliant suggestion. I love Casablanca and The Philadelphia Story too but again, like Bringing up Baby, I think she wouldn't get it. (Maybe I'm underestimating her.)

Tiger Bay - Hayley Mills, 1959, she was 13 when she starred in it. Link below, it's got subs but still. Good film.
