Need a film buff to name this film

So it's a very old black and white film. The mother gives up her baby, comes back in disguise as the governess and only on her death bed does she tell her daughter.

Thanks, It's a very similar plot, but it's def an old black and white. I watched it with my mother as a child in the 70's. It made us both cry like babies at the end.
