Ahh, I'm feeling lonely and need an uplifting film to watch to make me feel better.
I have the fire going, Marshmallows (for DD (15 and revising) later, if the will deign to watch with me ).
What are your top films to make me laugh or cry or both?
Tell me quickly or I'll be off the the offy for wine and I really don't want to do that.
Thanks, pals

Bad Moms was quite funny. Watched this on a flight and was pleasantly horrified and hysterical at the same time. Also I loved The untouchables, French film with subtitles (you don’t notice after the first 2 mins). Very moving true story about a quadriplegic guy and his male nurse.

MammaAgata · 10/02/2018 15:49

Intouchables.. not untouchables as that’s a completely different film! Bloody autocorrect....

butterfly990 · 10/02/2018 15:52

Lion I was crying buckets. Based on a true story.

Grammar · 10/02/2018 15:52

Aahh, Yes, the Untouchables, have heard good things about that, thank you.
Good, Bad Moms, I'll look that up too.
What are your 'go to' films for comfort?

We watched Baywatch last night and found it very amusing, it's on sky this week.

Desmondo2016 · 10/02/2018 15:57

What happened to Monday was fab!

BikeRunSki · 10/02/2018 15:58

In her shoes - will make you laugh and cry! It might have a bit of sex in, possibly one for you without your dd.

Terms of Endearment always has me in floods.

I would watch Hunt For the Wilderpeople. Its funny and sad and all together wonderful Smile

JuniLoolaPalooza · 10/02/2018 16:03

Blue Crush always cheers me up.
Role Models is ridiculous gross out humour but has lovely Paul Rudd and is hilarious. I was watching it on a plane and DP was watching something else, but I was laughing so much (in the first five minutes) that he swapped over

I've just watched Untouchables
Great recommendation.
I have another easy day tomorrow and might try Blue Crush. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I’ve just watched Lion.. had put it off as I thought it would be too traumatic.. lots of sobbing but still, was a cracking film. Thanks for the recommendation.

MammaAgata · 10/02/2018 21:39

Did you watch untouchables or intouchables out of interest? Two very different films. Grin

Grammar · 11/02/2018 08:39

Watched untouchables. Loved it.
Thanks for all the suggestions
