Do you have Netflix? We watched the Fundamentals of Caring the other night and though it was excellent - quirky and clever.

Split is a great film!

I’m going to watch Mudbound on Netflix. Had great reviews and Mary JB up for the Oscar for it.

boxyfingo · 27/01/2018 19:23

What kind of films do you prefer?
I watched Walk of Shame recently which was very funny but not exactly high-brow!

Tumbledown

Manchester By The Sea on Amazon Prime. It’s very emotional though so get the tissues out!

Watched "spotlight" on Netflix the other night. It was really good.

The martian is good. Been out a while though.

The One I Love on Netflix is brilliant. At first it seems like a drama about a couple's troubled marriage but quickly turns into something much more strange.

Charlie Wilson's War. A lesser known Tom Hanks movie with sublime acting from Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Julia Roberts in one of her best roles.
True story.
Some fantastic amusing moments, superb dialogue and a really great story.
Any movie that can make this left wing liberal love Republican Senator from the Bible Belt has got to be good. Great movie for both sexes.

I enjoyed the Intern recently

shushpenfold · 27/01/2018 19:35

Hot Fuzz. Schlock horror but utterly brilliant and laugh so hard you owe yourself moments.

shushpenfold · 27/01/2018 19:35

Pee yourself!! Ffs

Alpacaandgo · 27/01/2018 19:36

Sunshine on Leith.
All brilliant films.

The one I love is indeed bizarre! Still trying to get my head around the ending. I’m guessing the 2nd Sophie made up the part about rather being trapped than being apart from the 2nd Ethan, in order to trick her way out? I still don’t truly understand the concept lol
