Every halloween I do a challenge to watch 31 films in 31 days (starting earlier this year due to baby!) . They are traditional horror films, comedies, old, new, subtitled whatever!! BUT the catch is they have to be films I have never seen before (really hard as i have to write a review for every single one!) Not knowing what I've seen,
I'd love to know what your favourite horror or halloweeny films are??

Any so bad they are good? Ones your grew up with? etc.
So for example, your fav could be classic (such as friday the 13th) or a kids film (Hocus Pocus) etc. .

I recently watched the autopsy of jane doe which was pretty good. Love all the horrors, Halloween of course and you can't beat Hocus Pocus.

Ju-On: the Grudge - Japanese version. Genuinely crap-inducingly scary.

The Orphanage - every scary moment is one you'll have seen before, but all so well-handled. If you see it on DVD, there is significant and nanny-ish bit of censorship.

Trying to do a variety of old and new, favourite and flawed and interesting. Interesting horrors:

Rosemary's Baby - one of my favourite films ever
Scream - best slasher of all time
Videodrome
The Wicker Man
Carrie
The Descent
Unfriended

My classic Halloween lineup is :
Tim burtons sleepy hollow
Woman in black
The Halloween tree
Something wicked this way comes
The sixth sense
Nightmare before Xmas 😝
Beetlejuice
Drag me to hell
Creepshow
Pet semetary
langoliers
Misery
Thinner
Ginger snaps
Tales from the crypt
The shining
Addams family
Coraline
Black Sabbath (an Italian 60s anthology)
Exorcist

Netflix has "tales of Halloween" a really campy collection of short films. So bad it's good.

And then I have a Vincent price-a-thon!!
