We are watching On Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with dd 19. I remember seeing it with my mates at the new cinema in town. I felt ever so grown up and quite shocked at the language. (I'd never heard a grown up say "cunt" before) God it was good.
For those of a certain age, what was your first time?

Goodfellas - it was an 18 when it came out (I wasn't 18 Shock) I went to the cinema with a boy I had the most godawful crush on Grin. We spent the whole film kissing, it was absolutely fantastic. 27 years later it's still "our film".

Terminator 2. Remember loving the violent bits, which was odd as I'd been v/sensitive to violence up until then, and the effects still holding up incredibly well - I didn't see it on release. Still remains an all-time favourite and I can't wait to see it on the big screen next month. Grin

As an aside, it's interesting how standards for what constitute 'adult' material change over time. I saw One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest at a recent BFI screening and the rating had been dropped from 18 to 15. Sensible decision as there can't be many 15 y/o's who haven't heard "cunt" and the violence, although bloody, is brief.
implantsandaDyson Goodfellas is still an 18 though (solely for violence these days) which I agree with.

^ silly me for not reading the title. T2 was my first R on DVD - can't remember what it was at the cinema unfortunately.
