Has anyone seen this yet?

Saw it with dh last night and in spite of poor reviews, we both really enjoyed it. Great acting too.

Absolutely loved it totally marvellous appeals to both head and heart;that said both Broadbent and particularly Rampling are terribly miscast

Do you think so pendeen who do you think would have been better?

I really didn't enjoy it. Didn't feel any emotional connection to any of the characters at all, and just didn't see the point of it all or get what the story was about. After about 30 minutes I was considering going home, but thought that surely it would get more interesting. It didn't. I was filled with a sense of relief when it finished!

Had anyone read the book first? Wondered if it was similar. Found JB quite a dislikeable character, what did ex ever see in him and why be so friendly now.
