I'm after some nice, laid back, but not garbage films. Please help!

As the title says - feel like I've had my fill of sweary, aggressive, high action, intense films. Now the evenings are lighter i just feel like something more laid back and easy going, but possibly still thought provoking, or in the least, not total bilge.

DH and I usually get the kids in bed, eat dinner, have a Potter, and get in bed with a movie. We've got a firestick so can usually find pretty much anything on there.

THANK YOU!

Goodbye lenin. It's a comedy, but very thought provoking.

Just following the thread here as I'd like to see more of these kinds of films. I enjoyed Goodbye Lenin, and in the same vein Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution

Very old now but Running on Empty is a wonderful film.

Actually anything I recommend will be old tbh.
High Fidelity
L'Homme du Train
Lust/Caution (though that has a thriller element)

FrankiesKnuckle · 04/04/2017 20:00

Sideways.

I could watch that film a million times over.
