Good film to watch with dd aged 6?

Dd has been off with tonsillitis. We've worked our way through our disney back catalogue Grin
Looking for suggestions for films that might be available on demand on sky that we might have missed?

What does your dd love watching? She likes the disney princess type stuff, frozen, Cinderella etc. have watched the new Cinderella film, maleficent not a hit.
Any recommendations? Loved Paddington, but not enjoyed night at the museum, oddly loves watching Harry potter with big bro though Grin has rejected any dinosaur type ones. Am trying to avoid another day of scooby doo...

Thanks

my recommendations something friendly are:
cinderella
snow white
sleeping beauty etc xx

love, cupcakes and sprinkles - sally xx

Summerisle1 · 02/03/2016 15:37

Snow White? Has probably the most terrifying baddie in the entire Disney catalogue!

Incidentally, I'm hoping the "love, cupcakes and sprinkles xxx" are deeply ironic. Otherwise I may have wandered into nethuns by mistake.

Finding Nemo!
It was on TV on Sunday, My DW and I watched it, there were no children around. Are we bad ;)

KellyElly · 02/03/2016 16:34

The Book of Life.

Katedotness1963 · 02/03/2016 16:43

I love Bolt! It makes me laugh.
Finding Nemo.
Bedtime Stories? With the kids who live in a hotel, Adam Sandler, I think?
Enchanted
Shrek
Toy Story
Despicable Me
Winnie the Pooh

I don't know if any of these will be available on there but our favourites are
Jumanji, Babe, Matilda, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Despicable Me, Lego Movie, Hotel Transylvania, Oz the Great and Powerful.

NewYearSameMe · 02/03/2016 16:59

Are any of the Studio Ghibli films available? My Neighbour Totoro was much loved by my DC at that age, also Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

The 'good' animated movies that I enjoy watching with the kids:

Wall-E
Inside Out
Book of Life - very different but great
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Toy Story
Up
Despicable Me
Big Hero 6

Can't say I love them but my girls love the Barbie movies: Barbie and the Secret Door or the Puppy Adventure one or the Tinkerbell movies.

LBOCS2 · 02/03/2016 17:27

Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2 are both very good.

Myfanwyprice · 02/03/2016 17:34

Have the tried the parent trap - the Lindsay Lohan one - my dd who is 6 loves it!

Magicpaintbrush · 03/03/2016 20:55

Charlotte's web, The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe, Gnomeo & Juliet, Five Children & It, The Railway Children. All the 'My Little Pony Equestria Girls' films have also been watched obssessively by my DD, so would recommend those (catchy songs a plenty!) :-)

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 03/03/2016 20:58

All the Ice Age films are funny, my dd and I love the first one and can more or less quote it word for word we have watched it so often Blush

Labrinyth (can't bloody spell it!). Put it on for mine the other day, DS (8) liked it, DD (5) wasn't so sure.

DS loves Aardman, Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Flushed Away, all good films.

Dreamworks have some good ones, Home, Shrek, Bee Movie.
