Just watched most of Funny Girl today. Barbra Streisand was an enormous box office star. She had a large nose, natural boobs and was at least a modern UK size 10/possibly 12.

There is no way she could have survived in today's Hollywood and we would never have heard of her.

What a travesty.

I think she would have been told to lose 20lb and have a nose job before a record label would have taken her on. I seriously doubt she could have been a Hollywood leading lady.

Even Kate Winslet, Minnie Driver and, yes, Adele have had to lose weight in order to conform.

First episode of Glee i said to dd that Lea Michelle could be Idena Menzal's dd., they sre so alike . We saw Idena in Wicked long before Frozen.

She doesn't have a big nose anymore. Lady G has had extensive plastic surgery.

Lady Gaga has made a career out of her different yawn personas and her outfits

Without that I doubt she would be famous her music is so so and her voice isn't great

Gaga is an extremely talented songwriter, musician and singer Enthusiasm. Her voice is amazing live. Absolutely incredible. I guess the fact she's worn such out there clothes etc have eclipsed her talent.

If Barbra Striesand had had a nose job, would it have affected the quality of her voice? Genuine question. I know nothing about singing and couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

I also liked the story that her mum wanted her to do a sensible typing course and so to thwart her, Barbra refused to cut her fingernails.

That's probably a bit of sneerworthy 'insider knowledge' gleaned from tittle tattle gossip mags. But if it's true, I like it.
