Can anyone recommend a DVD for DD 12/13 for birthday sleepover? Perhaps something out a few years ago.

I'm trying to think of something that the majority might not have seen. Or something less popular that has come out recently. Thank you.

DD has just turned 13, and one of her all-time favourites is School of Rock, which came out quite a few years ago so they may not have seen it?

Or maybe something like Freaky Friday?

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 09/11/2015 11:44

Hunger Games?

Or Elf, as it's approaching the Christmas season.

I am an expert in this field, and I would say mean girls all the way

BrendaandEddie · 09/11/2015 11:45

They also love 27 dresses.

13 going on 30

Obviously Hunger Games and Twilight are the craze.

What would they choose themselves?

Brytte · 09/11/2015 13:45

Oh, I don't know. My DD's a bit clueless. She has varied tastes and is a huge fan of the Hunger Games but not all her friends are into it; I will take her to see the last film at the cinema in a few weeks. I have bought her Maleficent and Into the Woods for her birthday as she's not seen those so they could be options but I'm looking for other ideas. I see that Mean Girls gets really good reviews.

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions for both the sleepover and for me and DD to watch together. I won't be buying anything until the weekend so if anyone thinks of anything else, feel free to add it here.

They'll probably just watch YouTube

IHaveBrilloHair · 10/11/2015 08:48

10 things I hate about you

Nataleejah · 10/11/2015 09:59

What about X-Men?

KatyBeau · 06/12/2015 21:06

Every teenager should watch some John Hughes films, eg the Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink. Plus the 80s is cool again apparently!

CremeBrulee · 06/12/2015 21:12

There's a great and very funny film from 2004 called Sleepover which my DD loves.

Film of choice for sleepovers here though is Titanic - based on its length I think.
