Oh banish me to the furthest reaches of MN purgatory....I HATE THE SNOWMAN...

It is too long

I don't think the boy's parents are happily married.

And it is animated in a funny squiggly way that makes my eyes ache.

The song about walking in the air is daft and has too many "R"s in it. It sounds like it is being sung by Gimli

And ffs, the intro by David Bowie. "I never forgot that night.." or whatever he says

Well you wouldnt really, would you?

(I should say that I saw it for the first time at 6am this morning)

MIL is in lurve with the snowman. The house is full of snowman-related tat. She has the snowman on DVD/video/every other format, but we must watch it live every xmas. Bleurgh.

MamaG · 24/11/2006 10:27

we're walking in the aaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrr

HowTheFillyjonkStoleChristmas · 24/11/2006 10:28

the santa clause sounds like it might perhaps have some irony

the snowman is, as we all know, a national treasure

I am sorry, but santa does not come from somewhere around Mile End and mysteriously live in a terraced 2 up 2 down in Leeds. He just doesn't. God that killed the magic of christmas for me stone dead

more R's in there, mamag

its that rather strange double articulated "R"

(actually I used to be in a church choir as a child and we had whole mornings devoted to saying this "R" in that strange, abnormal way)

Why don't you think the boy's parents are happily married Fillyjonk?

HowTheFillyjonkStoleChristmas · 24/11/2006 10:38

there is a certain frigidity between them, i felt

clearly staying together for the sake of the kid

The stage show is fantastic. You get snowed on if you sit in the right place
