The Toy Story 3 ending always has me in tears!

What brings you out in tears?

Hello, with the OP’s kind permission we’re sweeping this thread into our Films topic

LordJabuJabu · 12/03/2015 20:06

Edward Scissorhands; firstly at Vincent Price, then at him trying to fit I'm, then the ending when the ungrateful cow doesn't bother going to visit him again even though he still loves her he's so lonely

iron Giant; 'I'm Superman'

Since becoming a mum, I can't watch Dumbo.

The Mist (mentioned it on the scary film thread), big gulpy cries for about 10 mins after it finished.

I'm yet to watch The Road as the book made me cry!

tobee · 12/03/2015 21:53

So many. I cry at happy and sad. David Lean's Oliver Twist "He's come back, sir, I knew he would!" I'm crying now.

Went to see Bridge to Terebithia with my dd she had to lead me sobbing loudly from the auditorium.

BreakingDad77 · 13/03/2015 09:05

I found 'one flew over the cuckoos nest quite sad' the final scenes with jack nicholson (so as not to give away spoilers) though was when I was young.

I did find myself getting sad watching phantom of the opera.

FishCanFly · 13/03/2015 11:29

Ice Age, the first one

Flipchart · 16/03/2015 14:36

I've mentioned this on another thread about films but there is on particular scee in Barney's version that gets me everytime I watch it, you've seen Barney progress from being a young an to settling down with a family and then go through a divorce yet he is still madly inlove with his (now ex) wife. Alzheimer's had set in and he thinks they are young and the kids are at school. His ex wife cries and he thinks he's upset her and ask sweetl ' haven't I told you how much I love you today '

Gets me everytime!!

Jamrollypolly · 22/03/2015 09:00

The persuit of happiness, always makes me cry especially because it's based on a true story. Will Smith and his son are amazing.

MarieJeanne · 22/03/2015 09:03

The bridges of Madison County, especially the end when she is in the car with her hand on the door handle.

MarieJeanne · 22/03/2015 09:05

I have got War Horse recorded since months ago, but I can't bring myself to watch , I'm not emotionally prepared yet.

3littlewomen · 22/03/2015 09:28

Charlotte's web - when the spider dies.... Sad It reminds me of my long gone mum, who I can remember laughing at as she blubbed her way through this film. Our DD is called Charlotte.

Re shadowlands DH was working recently and the gentleman had lots of CS Lewis books etc dotted around the home.... Turned out the man was Douglas Gresham - the real young boy (CS Lewis' stepson) portrayed in the movie!!!

Eastpoint · 22/03/2015 09:37

These threads make me really miss your good old-fashioned video rental shop. If ours was still open I could just mooch down & pick up a film to watch this afternoon. I can never find anything I want on Virgin or Netflix.

EleanorRigby89 · 22/03/2015 09:54

The World's Fastest Indian. It gets me every time, but it's such a lovely story.

Yusrahaifa · 22/03/2015 19:08

Notebook

lisaloulou84 · 22/03/2015 19:13

Up - the bit where she can't have kids breaks me every time.

Finding Neverland - the bit at the end where the kid goes 'I just though she'd always be here...' when his mum has just died Confused

WiggleGinger · 22/03/2015 19:18

Gladiator the bit at the end when he dies and goes to be with his wife and son.
Marley and me... DH and I both cried. I cried for 1/2 an hour afterwards
My sisters keeper

Figwin · 23/03/2015 23:56

I am sam

PtraciDjelibeybi · 24/03/2015 00:04

Life is beautiful

bwow · 24/03/2015 00:04

lavendersun · 24/03/2015 00:06

The HP film where Hagrid comes back from Azkaban and Harry gives him a huge hug in the dining hall.

Strokethefurrywall · 24/03/2015 00:14

Everything makes me cry - but in particular steel magnolias, can't watch it now since my brother died. The notebook I absolutely howled, howled at!
Any episode of any show where people cry or die. In particular Greys anatomy is a bad one...

stormyboots · 27/03/2015 00:38

Tarka the Otter watched as a child and was traumatised Blush also terms of endearment is heartbreaking

NoPowerInTheVerseCanStopMe · 27/03/2015 00:54
