"Earth to Echo" _ PG rating question

Earth to Echo is one of the Movies for Juniors choices for tomorrow morning.

Just wanted some advise as to why it's a PG rating, would it be too scary for a 3-year old?

I took my 6 year old, he kind of enjoyed it. I would say it's not very 3 year old friendly, it's like et but filmed in the blair witch project- style with some very annoying American children

My 5 year old wasnt scared of it, but she found it very boring and didnt enjoy it at all. My 10 year old lobed it, its much better for that age.

Thanks guys, the other option is "The Nut Job", which I think she might choose anyways as it looks like there's a pug on the poster ?

Be warned that Earth to Echo has given people motion sickness, including me! (Shaky 'verite' camera work).

For each film on the IMDB site there's a "Parent's Guide" which has posts from parents describing parts of the film they thought could potentially be problematic for children.

There's an Earth to Echo one here. Obviously they're absolutely riddled with spoilers!!

Really don't think the 3yo will enjoy Earth to Echo. We watched it recently with 7yo DS and 12yo DD and it didn't really hold the younger ones attention at all.
