i really enjoyed this, started out very slow but set the scene really well.

bleak and atmospheric, wonder what she has in store next, have enjoyed all her films so far, so left of center. come a long way from no 73

Actually I thought it the worst adaptation I have ever seen. Wooden acting, dramatic truncation of plot and character, and I really didnt think that "Heathcliff-as-branded-slave" works at all. And necrophilia?

Points given for them showing Isabella's spaniel being hung from the gatepost.

I loved the first half but agree it lost some power when the older actors took over. The younger pair were stunningly good.

Loved the cinematography and the sound design. You were really there on the moors, birdsong, voices, 'wuthering' and all. Overall I think it's a great achievement; beautiful and poetic and has its own visual language.

I didn't like this version and actually didn't finish it.
