What were they on?
Can anyone explain to me how that film got made and why??

Is it a long one with evil diesel 10? It seems to ring a faint and tedious bell. Ds was mad on bloody Thomas, I still cringe when I hear the theme music.

Blandmum · 28/02/2006 20:54

Hyper crapola!

Pruni · 28/02/2006 20:58

I watched it this pm and - this may say more about me than anything else - could only see it as a thinly-veiled tale of loss of sexual potency...

Peter Fonda can't find the right coal to stoke up Lady
Alec Baldwin and the Scottish one have lost their magic sparkly dust
Etc

Will obv have to watch it roughly 1000 more times - aaaargh!

Is Peter Fonda crafted from wood?

Pruni · 03/03/2006 20:13

Oh gaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwdddd had to watch this again today

PF must have been PHSL between takes. THey all must have.
It just defies belief how bad it is.

lol...
I think you need to be on the magic sparkly dust to watch this film!

lunavix · 03/03/2006 20:25

It's total rubbish

I can't believe it made it as a movie.

Bagpuss30 · 03/03/2006 20:30

Yes, it was a proud day when our video player finally packed in and we could no longer watch this tripe - kids were gutted of course Grin. Wasn't the little girl also in Matilda?

misdee · 03/03/2006 20:32

that little girl never ages.

but i did like saying 'oooo its frenchy'

salsa · 03/03/2006 20:35

For kids its great but I can't believe Alec Baldwin would be proud.

Pruni · 03/03/2006 20:36

Cheers misdee, that's been bugging me (about Frenchy)
I now make it my mission to tell all new parents that the day will come when they will think about getting this film and woe betide them if they do.
Is there a stronger word than 'shite'?

OP posts:
salsa · 03/03/2006 20:39

Pruni it's not that bad!

Pruni · 03/03/2006 20:43

Salsa, yes it is!

PeachyClair · 03/03/2006 21:12

LOL

LCD, has to be.

Our copy became magically 'lost'. Grin

(PS, has anyone seen robots on subtitles? Where Aunt Fan says Scrap and the titles say 'crap'?)

albosmum · 03/03/2006 21:13

brings back bad memories had to see it at the cinema with ds1 (now 10) when it first came out

threelittlebabies · 03/03/2006 22:42

ds loved this, but thankfully has another favourite now. He does pronoucne himself a "really useful engine" whenever he has helped me though! Alec Baldwin was in the Cat in the Hat too, when did he start doing all these kids movies?
