Am fervently hoping to go to cinema next week (what a pathetic thing to type) -- Constant Gardener is top of my list. Would you consider?

bakedpotato · 11/11/2005 22:14

Oh dear me, just realised it sounds like I'm asking you to come with me

hoxtonchick · 11/11/2005 22:16

i fell asleep in broken flowers...

sansouci · 11/11/2005 22:20

MarsLady · 11/11/2005 22:23

sansouci · 11/11/2005 22:24

eeeee! is it far from where you are now?

melsy · 11/11/2005 22:32

mmmmmmmmmmm anywhooooo back to the film dilemma, see just ges to show sansouci & hoxtonchick , how subjective film likes are !!!!

I want to see In Her Shoes...

Out of those two I'd say Broken Flowers as I heard Elizabethtown is crap... but my ex says he wasn't keen on Broken Flowers! Sorry!

sansouci · 11/11/2005 23:03

If you saw & liked Lost In Translation, you'd probably like Broken Flowers. Bill Murray plays more or less the same character.

BTW, has anyone seen What About Bob and loved it as much as I do?
Probably not.

melsy · 12/11/2005 22:59

well I tried and tried , but mmmmmmmmm it was the first film I really really wanted to walk out of. I persist with most things , but this had a start a middle sort of , but no end, I was soooooo fidgety.

I really liked lost in translation , it had a kind of charm , but this , I just dunoo really !!! Its made me feel really flat.

Well melsy, concole yourself with the thought that I saw Elizabethtown the other day and thought it was PANTS. Great soundtrack though. Sorry you didn't enjoy BF though, how annoying on a precious night out.

hoxtonchick · 13/11/2005 07:14

glad it wasn't just me melsy!

melsy · 13/11/2005 09:23

Im just so glad my lovely parents babysat and not a very expensive babysitter. It would have been doubly frustrating !! It would have been an expensive AND rubbish night. My lovley mummy said shell do it again for us to have a more successful cinema experince in a few weeks !

It was just dull dull dull and more dull.

elizabethtown is shockingly bad - it is easily the worst film I have ever seen and I have seen some pants!

At times, me, my sister and my mum were just gaping at the screen in disbelief...or frowning!

It certainly was a right ole mess...
