..and would you recommend them?

I am currently cutting back & re-evaluating our outgoings massively, so have been determined to make good use of my lovefilm subscription. Would love some suggestions of things to add to my rental list. I have also only going to the cinema on Weds to make use of Orange 2-4-1.

My most recent:

Curious case of Benjamin Button - ok, odd and a bit disturbing (I am pg and the baby bit was a bit unsettling) but I wouldn't bother watching it again.

Made in Dagenham - really enjoyed it

King's Speech - again, great film, not sure it needs my endorsement though!

An Education - good, ended a bit abruptly though, all loose ends dealt with a bit quickly.

Submarine - brilliant, really funny and quirky, loved it.

(Wierdly, most of these have Sally Hawkins in - complete coincidence!)

Made in Dagenham was dissapointing
Missed the Kings speech. How I do not know!!

Killing Bono was quite good. My friend enjoyed it more than me but it made me laugh in parts.

Black Swan was teh biggest load of gabbage I've had the misfortune to sit and watch and to make matter worse I had to pay for it.

The fighter was excellent. Mark Wahlburg and Chritian Bale were superb.

Barney's version was brilliant. Very bitter sweet and I have just read the book on the strength of watching it.

Can't remember what else I've been to see recently.

Another year was good, the usual observational stuff from Mike Leigh
Hoping to go and see How I ended this summer and Submarine soon.

I watched 300 a few nights ago.
I usually don't go for the gory violent type of film, but I knew it had good reviews.
Wow! Putting aside all the gore, it was amazing. It is shot in a very stylised way, and is very dark, but it surprised me, and I really enjoyed it.
I also have a very strange crush on Xerxes Blush
