I didn't love the recent BBC one so am quite excited

Time to read "Wide Sargasso Sea", I think. The new-ish film version is good, too, though by no means as subtle as the novel.

Not too sure about the northern accent. I have one myself, happen, and didn't pick hers up. I'll try again.

I've looked. No, not a proper northern accent all. The production values are good, though.

Having said that, when Jane says she's not afraid of Rochester she looks away. Tsk, tsk.

I think it looks ghastly. I am not a fan of the Ruth Wilson version either.
