Looking for the title of a film... HELP

I'm trying to remember the title of a film.
It is definatly "THE .........(something)...."
Thats about all I know, its 2 words first word "the". Some of it was filmed in a Irish Airport with Terrorists running about, Could have been British made but not sure. I was only ever told about it, I have never seen it.
Perhaps a website with lists of titles might help. No idea where to look for that.

Thanks I know its a long shot.

Twiglett · 28/08/2005 18:41

Skribble · 28/08/2005 18:49

Iknow theres loads thats why I though listings on a website I know I will remember it when I see it.

It something like "the misfits" or "the unfortunates"

Tried imdb but no luck. It just listed everything with the in the title.

It could be about 6-7 years old or more and possibly an independent, not sure though.

My DH suggests The Devil's Own (but surely you'd remember Brad Pitt?!)

collision · 28/08/2005 19:41

are you sure imdb can't help?

Skribble · 28/08/2005 22:33

I tried searching but of course in A-Z "the doesn't count. So I wasn't getting anywhere.

The Untouchables doesn't sound right but I will try that, I have no idea if Kevin Spacey was in it. Not much to go on really.

OP posts:
Skribble · 28/08/2005 22:36

Definatly not The Untouchables, just did a google and remembered this one.

serah · 28/08/2005 22:53

hmmm... yes, now realise I just latched onto Kevin Spacey.

Still, on imdb you can search by so many different variables and the ctrl F a search for "The" on the lists you get may lead you to it!

It doesn't have The in the title, but Ronin was about Irish terrorists (sort of).

Skribble · 29/08/2005 00:27

No not Ronin definatly "the" something.

Tried different searches but cant get list of films starting with the.

skribble you don't mean that one with Sean Bean (annoying name - is it Seen Bean or Shaun Bawn???) as some kind of cod-Orisih terrorist, also with Harrison Ford?
(now if not, what was that one called?)

Skribble · 29/08/2005 00:39

Clary I think I know the one you mean but no I don't think its that, I will know if you remember the title.

Its not helping that I haven't ever seen the film, mainly because I can't remember the name and no one knows what I am talking about.

I'm guessing it is small budget, straight to video or perhaps a film festival type thing.

hunkermunker · 29/08/2005 00:51

Twelve Monkeys?

Skribble · 29/08/2005 00:56

Where do monkeys come into it?
No its 2 words, first word "the", had terrorists in an airport, possible british, possible low budget. Sounds some thing like "The untouchables" or "The misfits".

OP posts:
philippat · 29/08/2005 07:05

Clary, that was Patriot Games

bran · 29/08/2005 11:38

The Devil's Own? Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt

The Crying Game?

More than two words I know, but the do have the IRA in them.

Who'd have thought there were so many films about the IRA.

clary · 30/08/2005 17:33

durr, patriot games of course.
No help then, sorry.

jenkel · 30/08/2005 18:26

The Jackal - Richard Gere
The Devils Own - Brad Pitt
Michael Collins
The Boxer - Daniel Day Lewis
Patriot Games - Harrison Ford
In the name of the father
Blown Away
The Informer (think this is an old one)
The Informant
Some Mother son

Nixz · 30/08/2005 19:21

The usual suspects?

Skribble · 30/08/2005 23:32

Thanks everyone but none of these i'm afraid. Oh its getting me mad now, it doesn't really matter and its probably a cr*p film anyway but now I have started thinking about it I need to know.
