Best kisses in the movies?

What a great lazy afternoon. I've just watched Russell Crowe kiss Meg Ryan in Proof of Life and was frozen like this with a ginger snap half way to my gob. Good film but the kiss is world class...

I like great movie kisses - Tim Robbins kissing Jennifer Jason Leigh in the Hudsucker Proxy is another one, though I don't think I could sit through the film another time to see it again. Any other good kisses to look out for?

Although the film is rubbish - Colin Firth does an excellent kiss in Bridget Jones' Diary at the end. A fine effort for a posh boy.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in the notebook. It's amazing. Largely due to them being madly in love while making the film.

Them winning the MTV award for Best Kiss

Watch it.

How come I have never seen Ryan Gosling before ????

Where have I been ?

< adjusts gusset >

BunnyLebowski · 20/07/2010 15:24

Oh AF he is unbelievable.

The he gestures to her to go first to the stage. They way he bounces as if warming up'. The way he beckons her over with his finger. Good Lord he's beyond gorgeous!

He's number 2 on my Freebie Five

AnyFucker · 20/07/2010 15:27

I know...I love the limbering up/bouncing thing

I would be interested to see who else is on that list

My freebie five changes all the time !

< crosses off Howard Donald and adds Ryan Gosling >

What about all those joyous kisses at the end of Cinema Paradiso - the music alone makes you cry

BunnyLebowski · 20/07/2010 15:49

Oh I saw the thread title and was going to come on and excitedly say the kiss in A Room With a View! I remember my whole classroom (all girls' school!) swooning over that scene when we were doing GCSE English - our teacher even rewound the video so we could watch it several times over!

cocolepew · 28/07/2010 20:26

My best one was in the back row of the strand in belfast with my then bf. The film was Platoon, don't think there was any kissing in it

JimJammum · 31/07/2010 09:04

Timothy Olyphant in Catch and Release with Jennifer Garner, when he pushes her hands against the wall.....hmmm mmmmm

MintyBadger · 31/07/2010 09:34

James McAvoy and Keira Knightley in Atonement - in the library, the green dress.....

womblingfree · 07/08/2010 01:13

Just watched the rg clip on YouTube - phwoaaar!
Am clearly going to have to see 'The Notebook' pronto!

pointsmakeprizes · 20/08/2010 22:03

Definitelty JM and KK in Atonement - one of my favourite scenes of all time!

pirateparty · 20/08/2010 22:06

notnowbernard I was going to say Room with a View too, but when he kisses her in the field in Tuscany. I love love love that moment.

shoshe · 20/08/2010 22:14

The reunion scene in Brokeback Mountain.

Makes me cry everytime I watch it.

schroeder · 21/08/2010 22:18

John Cusack and Ione Skye in "Say Anything" in the back of the car OMG-I went all warm for that one.Blush

SaraLat · 07/09/2010 11:16

This raises the question, do we only watch the film for the kissing bit?

GetOrfMoiLand · 07/09/2010 11:20

I think I may well be the only person who swoons when Michael Douglas kisses Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone.

Especially as it is preceeded by some very dodgy 80s groovy dancing. Grin

I still fancy Michael Douglas now, actually

Matt Damon when he first kisses that german girl in Bourne Identity
