Oh, I cried at the end. DD (6) said afterwards that she wanted to cry, and was very amused to find out that I had cried. Grin

elsiepiddock · 07/08/2010 21:39

LOVED IT!!

We all 4 of us wept buckets, and like Wigeon, I can't recount it without crying!

squix · 07/08/2010 21:41

I did big gulping cries during the last 10 minutes too, then wierd laughing/sobbing after dd (aged 3) piped up with "Mummy don't cry, it's all OK"

lionheart · 07/08/2010 21:54

Big Baby. Sad

runoutofnameideas · 07/08/2010 21:57

I cry at the drop of a cinematic hat but did not cry at this.
It was a bit poignant when Andy left home and gave his toys to the little girl though.

Caz10 · 07/08/2010 22:02

Cried and cried and cried Blush

It was DD's first trip ever to the cinema (2.5ys) and I was quite over emotional at the sight of her sitting so happily in her own cinema seat totally loving the film and being so grown up Blush Blush

So that, as well as the film itself, sent me over the edge.

Started with Jessie's little face when she held out her hand as they were sliding down, then actually made a stupid gulpy noise when Buzz and Woody held hands too.

I am a total saddo, tis true Grin

We loved it!
took ds1,10 and ds2, 9 yesterday..
I was sobbing when all the toys were in the incinerator. When they all held hands
Infact I could cry now just thinking about it

arfur · 07/08/2010 22:03

I blubbed too and everyone else I know thats seen it says the same - its touching and poignant tho not tragic - even ds(8) said it was a bit sad at the end!

plonker · 07/08/2010 22:03

Wigeon - yep, that's the bit that set me off. Unfortunately there was no stopping me then ... Blush

...and yes, big baby - poor love Sad

cornsilk1010 · 07/08/2010 22:05

poor big baby Sad
I thought the part where he was trying to climb up to the girl's window and the other toy pulled him away was sooo sad. Then when he saw the tag thing later on and wanted his mummy.

BrigitBigKnickers · 09/08/2010 11:49

Saw this yesterday-That part at the end when he was playing with his toys with the little girl had me gulping madly to hold back the tears.

Such a poingnant end.

tommosmum · 17/08/2010 15:15

Yep I cried like a baby at the end, then my 8 year old decides to point that out to the rest of the cinema!!

tillywee · 17/08/2010 18:23

Was a good ending....really sad, I must admit that it made me well up

shimmerysilverglitter · 19/08/2010 20:06

Oh I can't believe I came on here to start a thread with that exact title.

Took dd to see it today, she is 3. Got a bit bored part way through but by then I couldn't have left if you paid me. She settled down there and really seemed to enjoy it.

Actually got a big lump in my throat right now just thinking about it. It was lovely.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 21/08/2010 20:31

Its a fantastic film. Kudos to all involved in its making.

Up made me shed a tear or three; the first 10 minutes or so are very moving.

snowaddict · 26/08/2010 19:02

Toy Story 3. OMG. I just could'nt stop the tears at the end. What a lovely film and sooo exciting. Went with my teenage daughter.

Made all the more poignant for me as I can vividly recall when I first took my only daughter aged 5 to see first one in 95, we absolutely loved it then and then went out and bought Woody and the dinosaur. Such happy memories we have.

She's now left home Sad and gone to uni. it was so me when Andy mum walked into his bedroom at the end and all his things were gone. Feel like blubbing just talking about it.

Go and enjoy - you won't regret it. but take plenty of tissues.

CatIsSleepy · 26/08/2010 19:07

i took dd1 to see it yesterday at the IMAX-agree that the 3D glasses are good to hide behind! i think i was blubbing pretty much from the incinerator onwards...
