A disturbing one for you this evening, my apologies.
So, it’s not confirmed as true. I’ve seen a few TikTok accounts discussing this so I checked and it’s currently not confirmed to be real but with some of the stories we’ve had break in recent years in the UK alone, the devastating murder of a teenager (Amber Gibson, if you google her story it’s very upsetting so a heads up) who’s brother murdered her and her body was discovered by some absolute freak who then raped her in death, or the horrifying story of prolific necrophile David Fuller who worked in morgues for access to bodies to rape, it seems we are not even safe in death anymore.
One of the saddest things I’ve read in comments sections about the brothel if it’s true or not is mothers of young girls and women saying how terrified they were to leave their daughters bodies, in case of sexual assault. How heartbreaking, in the throes of unimaginable grief you’re worrying your child’s corpse is being sexually assaulted. It’s actually made me feel quite sick.
I suspect that much like child abuse images or extreme violent pornography that necrophillia is possibly more common than we realise.
Of course we need cameras now when working with the dead, I believe the dead should be very protected, no unauthorised person with them, quite honestly I’d like 2 people at all times and 1 of them to be a woman, but I’m sure that would be a deeply unpopular decision. But we all deserve peace in death.
I think of the people I’ve sat with as they’ve taken their last breath and the idea that they went to someone who’d not treat them with the utmost respect and dignity is a worrying thought.
