Am interested to know how many other councils having openly declared support following the court ruling?

Not at all ironic that most of the ones jumping up and down were men.

Lancaster City Council declares support for trans and intersex people after biological sex ruling

A champion of the LGBTQ+ community spoke out at Morecambe Town Hall about the fear and panic among trans and intersex people following a Supreme Court ruling on biological sex.

Mr Love-is-love Mee looks like an absolute nonce peach.

All the tired old tropes about the SC ruling being a new law rather than a clarification of existing laws, ‘nobody ever minded till now’ and ‘ordinary men and women are being attacked’.

Is it just me or is the term ‘Intersex’ being bandied about an awful lot nowadays?

Wow. Name calling. Very mature. Very kind.

Intersex is a defined biological term. 1 in 8 people are intersex and it is the biggest cause of infertility- many people do not find out they are intersex until they go for fertility treatment.

Regardless of your stance or beliefs, people like you add weight to Fry's belief that JKR has been radicalised by vile people such as yourself, explaining why she is so vitriolic.

Evidence?

Meceme · 19/06/2025 16:50

1 in 8 would be 12.5% of the population.
Most researchers agree that people with DSDs (formally known as intersex) comprise between 0.018 and 1.7% of the population depending upon which disorders/differences are included in the parameters.
It is not the biggest cause of fertility.
PCOS is not a DSD or measure of intersex.

Christ. My council were bad enough ba few years ago when they "renevated" the local pool, to the cost of several million. apparently this was supposed to include re-vamping the changing rooms.

When it reopend - noting had been done to the changing rooms other than making them "Unisex" with still the same just about half height cubicles with dodgy yellow flaking pain that had been there since the 80's.

Those cubicles would show your top half off easily. Even before there were men in there. Nothing changed - there is no privacy, nowhere safe for kids to get changed, and men wandering around willy-nilly- and as most men in that area are of questionable physical form, and zero shame - theres lots of penisis on show.

Its disgusting and wrong. Most women now won't go there and instead take the kids to the other sport complex which is a 40 minute drive away.

I guess the council must be getting money from somewhere though, as the plaxce is still open

HAHAHAHA. Someone has trolled you @StMarie4me

This is the motion that the article talks about.

Lancaster City Council

it is interesting that there is a lot on how it affects “intersex” people which previously as far as I am aware wasn’t really something considered or talked about.

It is very clear that the motion has been written by men who clearly have no idea of the impact on women because it states “ Non trans users of single sex spaces will in practice be no safer than before this ruling, and may in fact be at greater risk due to false challenges and accusations.”

They mean men don’t they? Women should just budge up and put up with it.

It goes on to say “The default mixed sex facilities that trans people will be expected to use will be disabled facilities, negatively impacting the availability of these facilities for their intended users.”

Really? So they’ve decided default should be the disabled should share, instead of “Let create a third space”?!

Much of this motion seemed to be based around toilet/changing facilities, which shows their ignorance of the wider issue of what the ruling was about, such as single sex domestic shelters, sports etc.

Oh and the facilities they talked about in the article? Most women I know are uncomfortable with using them and go elsewhere. To places that have single sex spaces.

Hi there. I am shocked at your statistic, I didn't realise the incidence rate was so high. Not thyroid problems, pcos, or meds being taken or prior surgery, or ejaculation issues in men, cancer with all its implications, etc or the 1 in 4 couples with unexplained infertility.

Rubbish.
Where did you get that statistic from?

You do realise that that’s just a blatant lie.
It’s more like 0.018% of the population….staggeringly small

and if you really had any interest in this subject you’d realise that the word ‘intersex’ is no longer used but DSD - “difference in sexual development” …if you’re going to come on here as a ‘so called’ expert…get it right !

No woman who knows that sex is real, and that men can never be women, has been radicalised….we just are Intelligent enough to not believe pathetic and dangerous propaganda.

FrippEnos · 20/06/2025 17:19

Its is interesting how some of the trans lobby are still intent on dragging those with DSDs into their arguments.

Its also really weird to see supposedly smart people buying into speeches that contain no real information. Its all we are scared, but they never really say what off or provide proof of why they are so scared.

Mochudubh · 20/06/2025 17:48

@StMarie4me

If you are including conditions such as PCOS as "intersex" you are wrong. The clue is in the name PolyCystic OVARY Syndrome. If someone has ovaries they are a woman.
