Bridgend Council Advice: Ask Someone First Before Choking Them (or to that effect)

A council has been criticised for creating a PowerPoint presentation that appeared to endorse strangulation during sex that was intended to be used in schools.

The slides included the sentence: "It is never OK to start choking someone without asking them first."

Bridgend council said it was part of a "draft version", never shown to children and the slides were dropped following feedback from professionals.

Bridgend council commissioned the school resource from their in-house domestic abuse service, called Assia, and a presentation was leaked last year.

Bloody hell. Commissioned from their in-house DA service?! Our poor poor daughters. I hate but nevertheless get why ‘edgy’, adolescent, male Hollywood screenwriters like to insert this stuff into every film going. But just how have all the so-called responsible professional adults collectively lost their minds on this bs?

That is absolutely appalling! Next they'll have a slide called "Men, make sure you ask a woman if it's ok before you murder them". Can't believe anyone thought that was so ok they suggested as a slide to include

And this is why schools need to take a porn-critical approach to sex education.

It would stop such harmful messaging being produced.

undoubtedly that slide was written by some m-one infused in sex/ porn/ kink positive thinking. And not infused with critical thinking.
