Just had this circulated and thought it might be of interest to some:
The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies (CCJS) and the National Women’s Justice Coalition (NWJC) are holding an online event (via Zoom) on Tuesday, 18 March 12:30 to 1:30 pm) to discuss what’s wrong with the women’s justice system and what needs to change.
The event will be discussing a new report, to be jointly published by CCJS and NWJC on Monday 10 March: Breaking out of the Justice Loop: Creating a criminal justice system that works for women. The report has been written by Naomi Delap (Director of Birth Companions) and Liz Hogarth OBE (independent women’s justice expert). It is being published against the background of the establishment of the Women’s Justice Board.
The event will hear from the two authors, Naomi Delap and Liz Hogarth, as well as Abbi Ayers (Director of Strategic Development at NWJC), and others tbc.
