‘Little bitch’: the shocking reality of teaching teenage boys

www.thetimes.com/article/0166f226-df2b-484b-a6b7-9d21fe141ab1?shareToken=dad6b4903c3fe404efc7186b356eaac8

An anonymous teacher tells some horrifying tales of teenage boys' behaviour towards female teachers in a school in an affluent area. She believes it's driven by SM and the prevalence of anti-women videos and memes. She says most parents have no idea what their boys are consuming online.

Honestly I fear for the future on a day when there are also headlines about a 50% increase in violent attacks on women and girls on trains. Add the fact that policing is institutionally misogynistic and boys are being raised by an internet full of porn as well and anti-women rhetoric from 'influencers' and where will we be in 10 or 20 years?

The war being waged on women by is escalating everyday under our noses.

Agree completely. We're screwed. ☹️

It’s a minority of boys who disrespect women, same as it’s a minority of adult men. Largely driven by poor parenting and lack of respect for their mothers imo.

Thanks for the article.

It's pretty much the same as it was when I was 14 (1978). I was sexually abused by two boys from the equivalent boy public school. That was just the start of a long list of male abuse through my teens and twenties. It was normal.

I'm sure it's worse now, with SM and cunts like Tate. But it's really nothing new. Men have always hated women, have always wanted to control women.

I wish they would make access to internet porn difficult

Dream on, and it'd make no difference, like Whack A Mole.

MapleTreeValley · 15/08/2024 03:10

As parents we just have to do our best to raise sons who respect women and daughters who won't tolerate any shit.

The Project 2025 manifesto includes a proposal to completely ban and criminalise porn. The rest of it is pretty unpalatable but I could get behind Trump on the porn pledge alone.

It's pretty much unworkable at this point though. How exactly would it work?

Superlambaanana · 15/08/2024 09:07

@GrammarTeacher It's perfectly possible for a country to block access to certain internet sites. We already do with criminal sites. And then we police people who try to access via other black market (eg dark web) means.

It's unworkable not because of the practicalities, but because men would never agree to it. They are so throughly addicted to online porn that they don't care about its consequences.

I'm old enough to remember late night television porn in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time some of it seemed very extreme and there was much angsting about women being objectified. Online porn nowadays is absolutely horrific in comparison. Even at its most easily accessible surface it is so disgusting - women's bodies treated like abattoir meat, bound, gagged, strangled and their body parts stretched and pounded in minute gynaecological detail, and absolutely zero seduction or sexiness - that the stuff from 30 years ago looks positively prudish now. So it's getting worse and will only continue to get more and more depraved.

They could do to the porn sites what they did to the movie torrent sites - surface ban them. I'm not sure of the exact terminology but you can only get onto them via a VPN or via Tor.

That'd be a start. Make it so that users actively have to circumvent the normal web browsing technology to access it. So you know you're doing something wrong.

Couple this with fines and jail sentences for UK producers, and robust education across the whole of society not just kids in school, about why porn is bad for women and for men.

Sure, you could still get your hands on it. But 'do absolutely nothing and let it flourish' is hardly a viable option.
