Tired of running the show

I'm so tired of running the show. Of planning date nights, of organising things for the kids, for getting zero praise, for not putting myself first, for not going for it because it's better for the kids if I don't, for being in charge of all the birthday presents, the school holiday organisation.

I've. Had. Enough.

I'm not sure that's the patriarchy. It might be your DH though. Career is in your gift to go for it. As is splitting organising responsibilities. You have to make it clear you aren't doing stuff, they have to. Then don't do it.

If your DP/H is like this stop planning ‘dates’ & do much less for him, for a start!
