This site sells supposedly feminist items, the sales of which help women.

so what the fuck is this?! I can’t work out if it’s supporting Rowling or sticking two fingers up at her.

What the fuckity fuck?

Personally I think the world's gone mad.

This is an advert and probably thrown in your feed as you've looked at similar stuff.

Just don't buy it?

I think you missed the About Us section. Everyone is a woman. They are VERY inclusive.

OURS IS
INCLUSIVE FEMINISM
Hand on our heart, we promise to fight for equality for EVERYONE - no exceptions.
To get some frequently asked questions out of the way: Yes, we love our trans community. Yes, cis men are welcome to wear our stuff too. And no, you’re never too old for a slogan tee.
To create inclusive products no matter your size or gender, most of our products are unisex fit and we offer UK size 6 - 26, which is a great start but there’s so much more we want to do. Watch this space!

Most of these 't shirts' are just generated using popular images found online and then super imposed on to t shirts. I.e theres not 1000s of stock of this t shirt, it is printed if ordered, if that makes sense. Sites like red bubble and so on are basically this entire principle.

The site sets my teeth on edge. I suppose it's partly because I hate slogans on clothes anyway but the whole tone of this one is so fake chummy. It's a site for a business selling cheaply produced t-shirts.

The claim that the product is ethically produced is lacking any real detail.

The only claim that the business does any good for women is that they donate an unspecified number of period products to unspecified locations and recipients.

I don't in any way want to belittle the efforts of schools, charities and businesses who have and are tackling period product poverty but isn't this now a field which is reasonably well covered without the "assistance" this site claims to make.

I mean it's up to you if you want to be a walking billboard, but don't kid yourself buying a t- shirt from this company is doing anything more than adding to its profits.

If you genuinely want to help a cause, any cause, that way then look for a charity where the profit element is fed back into the charity.

Looks like it might be taking the P out of Rowling tbh.

They sell other pride/trans-supportive items and nothing related to "TERF" or gender critical, so I don't think they would intentionally support JK Rowling.

BobbyBiscuits · 10/06/2024 02:08

Does it have a big picture of a hand crossing it's fingers on the back? If so might be a bit amusing to wear one...

Livinginaclock · 10/06/2024 02:09

It's one of those companies that supports women, but thinks men can be women.
Much like the Women's Equality Party, also believes men can be women.
Total nonsense.

LauderSyme · 10/06/2024 02:16

I think it's supposed to be an ironic critique of JKR's views. I wouldn't buy it.

BadeballSkihipto · 10/06/2024 02:16

Depends on where you get it from.

Likesomemorecash · 10/06/2024 02:17

It's quite amusing that it's 'unisex' sizing sizing .

Barleysugar86 · 10/06/2024 02:19

It's clearly making fun of her.
