Police officer of 18 years here. I was in an abusive relationship with an officer and after some years eventually found the balls to call it out. This lead to another 5 women having their story heard and ended with him losing his dream job and being barred.
Things have changed massively in policing in the time I have been in. There are loads of officers being called out and found out, and rightly so. This takes time, but the change I have seen is massive and the impact it has on internal culture is starting to happen.
We should all be rightly outraged by every one that we see, but also should be glad to see that these cases are not being brushed under the carpet. Every one booted out is a cause for celebration. These guys are scum.
