So Keir, what exactly are you promising women and trans people? Stop dancing around the issue, telling us all to grow up. Women’s rights are critical to half the population. Until I see appropriate policies in writing you don’t have my vote.

How can we trust someone who belittles the issue by calling it a ‘toxic debate’. The safeguarding of women and children in all realms of society is critical and so no, we won’t just shut our eyes and let Labour do whatever they fancy. The GRA, combined with the equality act 2010 is already ample for trans people.

It's just the latest version of 'calm down, dear'. Honestly, I'm SO bloody disappointed in him. He's a smart person, was very highly respected as DPP, seems to give something of a shit about other people, in contrast to the bunch of sociopaths in government at the moment. But this weak fudging is NOT BLOODY GOOD ENOUGH.
