Apologies if this has been mentioned, I couldn't see a thread on it.

This children's book written in cartoon format by a person who has transitioned, apparently contains phrases such as describing breasts as flabby fat which needs removing and referring to hips as horrible etc.

Dangerous message to send out to young girls who are already learning to appreciate their changing bodies!

It is meant to be aimed at over 14, but the style means it will no doubt be picked up by younger children - and Waterstones have put it forward for their award meaning it will gain more than usual traction.

There was a thread about the book in AIBU a couple of weeks ago. Amazingly the thread was allowed to stay in AIBU and not shunted off to the FWR naughty corner!

I had no idea it was up for a Waterstones award so thanks for highlighting that.
