The suggestion that women now have equality is just jaw-droppingly ignorant. And some of the comments (not sure if people without a subscription can see them) .... this for example:
Fine, but how are young women of today disadvantaged compared with young men?
And
No one is expecting women to ‘wait in the wings’. They have the same opportunities as men. Rather than gender discrimination, equality of opportunity is what we should aim for (and have more or less achieved, at least in gender terms).
