Biological woman tattoo

Just saw a trans man/ woman with a tattoo saying 'biological woman' on their arm. I know I'm not up with all the trans debates at all - I honestly don't care who's what etc.. but it just jarred with me - clearly they weren't a biological woman?? Anyway just wanted to vent & very happy to be corrected if my attitude is ignorant & misinformed!

There was a guy in a BBC article once who had a tattoo of the barcode off a packet of condoms. Tattoos aren't required to be truthful.

It's a dead give away that they're trans tbh because if they weren't they'd be a Terrible TERF Bigot and LITERALLY killing trans people with that sort of evil imagery.

I don't give a shit what people ink on themselves, but when I saw your thread title I did wonder whether someone with a tattoo like that might find themselves getting reported for a hate incident.

My sister has all sorts of animals on her, sadly (although I might disagree) she isn't actually a toad.

A trans woman? It’s completely their choice what they tattoo on their body, however the genes and biology will of naturally be that of a biological male.

It's not clear whether you are talking about a man or a woman but I don't think any women would feel the need to tattoo their sex on their body!

I wonder how JKR would be treated if she tattooed Biological Woman on herself.

If I tattoo size 8 on myself does it make it true? 👀

Maybe it's part of the tradition of having references to other people tattooed on you - for example, your spouse's name or "Mom" in a love heart. Maybe a tribute to biological women? Or an Aretha Franklin fan?

I'm just really confused by it all! The person looked like a man (rather badly) dressed as a woman, I've no idea how far their transition had gone, presumably all the way to feel the need to tell the world via tattoo.. but whatever, I don't understand it all or what my reaction to it is meant to be?!!

A trans man is a biological woman though.

Oh so you actually mean trans woman?

I saw IW and KM on Twitter making the arguament that they are women and not robots therefore they are biological therefore there are biological women.

Seriously it's like playing word/brain twister.

The OP is clearly talking about a transwoman, not a transman though.

It's like when Homer Simpson got a certificate to say he's not insane. I mean, if you need a certificate ( or a tattoo) stating it.......😅

That wasn't clear at all in the first post

It's all Trans this and Cis that. I miss the olden days when men was men and women was women. Far less confusion all round.

Are you actually confused? It's just a tattoo. I'd notice it but not give it any thought and if I had to I'd assume it was to wind people up 😅. Which is what it seems to be doing.

I really am confused @WudYouSayItInRealLife
Are men who transition into women then biologically a woman? Genuine question as Ive not followed this debate/ moment in time at all up to now.. and as for the tattoo, yes I'm sure it is intended to get attention and wind certain people up.. I'm not bothered, good luck to her, it just sparked my interest in the issue..

No, there is no way for a man to become a woman. And no way for a woman to become a man - as much as some people might like there to be. Scientifically/biologically there are things people can do to change how they appear, but is not possible to change (biological) sex.

Maybe a butch biological woman would, especially one who has been challenged about whether or not she is a woman.

It's SO distasteful.

Labelling people with badges and lanyards, tattooing what you think you are on your body, and proscribed speech...

The imagery is just revolting.
