I'm choosing this chat topic because it covers feminist issues of sexual crimes against women and retaliation against women who report them. While there are issues regarding Lia Thomas that fall into sex and gender, this specific post is showing how women right's lawyers and orgs are asking for an investigation into U Penn for violations against Title IX law that protect women from retaliation and against Lia Thomas for crimes in the state of Pennsylvania of indecent exposure.

First line from letter, "We are writing to report a potential violation of Pennsylvania Code of Law Section 3127 and of Title IX and of the University of Pennsylvania’s Sexual Harassment, Sexual Violence, Relationship Violence and Stalking Policy."

Full letter here: womensdeclarationusa.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/WDI-KPSS-UPenn-letter-2-1-2022.pdf

It's interesting. If you believe transwomen are women, then Lia is exposing her female genitals in a same sex space, as many of us do when we're swimming. And if Lia believes that, there's no offence.

However if you believe that (for absolute clarity) women shouldn't have to see penises and balls unless they choose to, and that they are being 'forced' to, it's indecent exposure.

I personally think I should be able to exclude seeing unwanted penises from my life especially in single sex spaces.

Good news that a politician has the courage to defend women and girls. I hope this case is successful.

Good for them and the signatories look both credible and senior. Well done to them for stepping up to the plate to protect the young athletes.

Good on these women standing up for the female swim team members when they can't do it for themselves out of fear of reprisals.

Sunshine.....

And Kara Dansky is a UPenn Law School alumni (she did her initial JD there and her BA at John Hopkins) so she likely has numerous alumni connections.

Although a 'lifelong Democrat' I've not found anything to suggest she has any direct Democrat Party engagement.

If though the Dems' are, as anticipated, slaughtered in the mid-terms in November, they'll be looking for new candidates they can trust, to replace those who lost their seats. Dansky could easily ensure she is added to the list, particularly as she's comfortable with media appearances

Oh, and of course Dansky is the author of "The Abolition of Sex: How the 'Transgender' Agenda Harms Women and Girls" published in the US last November.

It has a few one-star reviews on Amazon from non-'Verified Purchase' reviewers (or what we normally call, 'bigots') so it has gone into my basket for my next order.

Quite. I join you in this reasonable expectation.

Thanks for reminding me. I must post a five star review.
