"She's the whole package"

I've heard this statement a lot over the past few days, in relation to Emma Raducanu. Today the media have been in overdrive about her after her amazing performance, but I keep hearing that "she's the whole package" and she will be the UK's highest earning sportsperson by the end of the year due to advertising / endorsements.

The implication seems to be that her sporting excellence is one thing, but that on top of that she's also conventionally incredibly attractive and young, and that "sex appeal" sets her apart.

No-one ever says this but I feel that's implied everytime the commentators say she's more than just a great tennis player, she has it all and she's the whole package.

Just wondered if anyone else noticed this.

Oh lol Martina! Just remembered. In her commentary she was talking about their kit or something and she said

The men are always fiddling with their equipment. The women don't do that nearly so much

Just to clarify my OP, I think she's GREAT! For all the reasons mentioned here. I just felt uncomfortably at the tone of the commentary (usually by older men).

The last British tennis superstar, Andy Murray, was consistently harangued by a certain section of the British media for being a surly Scot, a curmudgeon with a chip on his shoulder, and a boring tennis machine. When he made a little joke about the England men's football team, he was treated as though he'd asked for the return of the death penalty. His treatment was absurd. So if our next superstar has a little bit more of an easy going temperament, and a more outgoing demeanour, not to mention a bit of positive crowd interaction, on top of world class ability, then that is rather more of a complete package. I trust Martina's judgement here.

Murray has a dry humour.

I took the "whole package" to mean that she has everything she needs for a substantial career, and was not just a flash in the pan.
