Thought it might be a good idea to share some of our favourite artists, especially those with a feminist slant.

It would be nice to see a mix of historical or more famous artists and also lesser known ones who might benefit from some sales (I know I'm looking for some new artwork for my walls).

I'll start.

Obviously Jess de Wahls embroidery is just incredible - www.jessdewahls.com/

I also love artists like Jenny Saville - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenny_Saville

Judy Chicago's Dinner Party is an incredible celebration of women - en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dinner_Party

I also love the beautiful mixed media vulva paintings of Jacqueline Secor - instagram.com/jacquiejoeart?utm_medium=copy_link

Some brilliant feminist artists from Uruguay to explore here: hammer.ucla.edu/radical-women/essays/traces-in-the-shape-of-history

Family in Vietnam introduced me to the work of Anh-Thuy Nguyen and I found this amazing quote from her online, she sounds like an artist I would like to know more about:

A woman’s body is often being claimed by others,” says the artist, who splits her time between the U.S. and Vietnam. “So I want to use my body as a powerful material, to reaffirm my possession of it and to examine how others view our body.”
