Home renovation help for women escaping DV

A truly inspirational woman on Jeremy Vine just now. She is a plasterer and after being moved by a woman who employed her services to fix up her home after her violent ex smashed the place up she is offering her services for free to DA survivors and asking people to donate to help her offer her skills to as many people as possible.

She has a local CCTV firm on board and Dulux are offering her £500 worth of paint every month. She’s also in the process of setting it up as a formal charity.

I know MN don’t like links to fundraising pages, but if you search on Facebook for “Lady in Red Plastering Services” she has a link to her Just Giving page on there.

She does not have a website and is also asking if anyone can help her in setting up a dedicate site for the venture.

Wonderful to see women lifting women up, though of course a tragedy that these services are even needed.

This is brilliant, I will share this on my feminist whatsapp group and see if we can raise some more funds for her.
Heartwarming to see. Infuriating it needs to be done in the first place.

I heard this interview. She seems like a fabulous woman and it is such a great cause.

What a great idea, I hope she is able to raise a lot of money.
