What would happen if I didn’t collect DS from after school club?

Just that really? Due to be collected before 6pm
I feel beyond able to cope with life at the moment. I have Adhd, asd and bipolar. No one can help so that’s that! So if I didn’t collect him what would happen to him. Would children’s services just get involved? I don’t want this for him but I feel like I don’t have much options left. He’s not hard work or anything, he’s a lovely boy which makes this even harder. I just think he’s he would better off in a different situation with someone other than me

Think she said it was dexamfetamine that she was adding 5mg. Fingers crossed!
My 15 year old asked me if I’d stopped taking the Adhd meds and I said yes I’ve run out why? He said because you’re in a better mood in them.

And yes a meal plan sounds great! Needs to be quick and simple at the moment though! Lol. I used to love cooking, made everything from scratch until a couple of years ago 😢 how times change.

I’ve been lucky because the Adhd specialist I spoke to today is my old Adhd psychs Adhd psych nurse, so I didn’t need to do another assessment or anything, however I’m under another psych now who is my old psychs (the one who closed his clinics) partner from the old clinic. So she had all my history and notes etc. So happy that I didn’t have to pay for another assessment.

I mean partner in medicine (like they has a clinic together) not romantic partner

It’s an nhs clinic, but because I’m out of area I have to pay which is a shame, but it’s over a year wait for the nhs clinic in my area. And this will go over to shared care soon

That's great news on lots of different things, well done you!
You've inspired me to decorate for Christmas tonight, thank you for that 🎄

Nevercloser · 03/12/2021 13:06

So glad to read your updates. I don’t know about the medical stuff but it all sounds exhausting. You really are very strong and definitely a good mother. Your children will grow up knowing you are doing everything you can for them, even if sometimes it isn’t perfect. Nobody is a perfect parent, we all just do the best we can.
I really hope that things continue to improve and now you’ve got medics looking after you who seem to know what they are doing, you have a great Christmas.
X

Glad your meetings went well. You could try jacket potatoes for a quick meal. If you get the ones that are already cooked and frozen it's just a few minutes in the microwave then add baked beans, butter, cheese, tuna or salad. Not perfect home cooking from scratch but better than a takeaway.

Bunce1 · 03/12/2021 14:42

So many positive updates from you today!

And the meds!!! The effing Jeffing meds! Hoooorah!! Brilliant news xxx

Confusedandtired21 · 03/12/2021 22:11

It’s excellent news about the meds isn’t it! Well I think so anyway, although my CPN who came today asked me if I was sure about taking the Adhd meds rather than just waiting a bit till I speak to my consultant about the bipolar meds (she’s booked me in for a med review because the lithium doesn’t seem to be doing very well) so now I’m doubting myself slightly! Still gonna get straight back on the Adhd meds though! Can always abort mission if it all goes wrong can’t I! :)

And we talked about talking therapy/counselling and she said no it’s not a good idea to do that at the moment because I’m not stable enough to deal with it

Confusedandtired21 · 03/12/2021 22:38

Me and my cpn talked about it*

I think that’s great. You’re on a positive path. Keep talking and reflecting. You’re doing great xx

Confusedandtired21 · 06/12/2021 10:50

I feel great today! Got DS to school then came home and wrapped some presents and put them away in their sacks, got my appt at alcohol place in a bit, then going shopping for Xmas bits from B&M, then gonna pop in to my friends for a brew who lives close by. My other friend has convinced me that she’s going to be coming to mine at 6 am every morning before school to do exercise videos every day starting from tomorrow (might really regret agreeing to this haha)
Got children’s services here tomorrow, camhs on weds. Then meeting with 15 year olds senco on Friday, nice and busy just how I like it, boredom is so not good for me!
Feel like a different person today, very motivated! :)
Oh and I’ve been cooking actual meals all weekend! No takeaways Grin

That's great news. Your friend is lovely to come every morning. I find exercise is the best way to start the day, puts me into the right mindset. You've done the right thing getting involved with all these services before things got any worse. I wrapped presents yesterday too. Doing the tree today. Hope the rest of your week goes ok

Bunce1 · 06/12/2021 12:08

Sounds super positive and busy- just make sure you’re giving yourselves time to rest/snuggle/arch a film and eat celebrations.

Tree is up here.

Good luck with the alcohol appt!

Confusedandtired21 · 06/12/2021 12:20

EllieLucy it’s me that’s the lovely one! Lol. It’s my friend that wants to exercise, she’s on a weight loss mission but doesn’t want to do it alone, I’ve just reluctantly agreed Grin
But it’s a good thing, I’ve been avoiding everyone for months, so time for that to change.

EllieLucy · 06/12/2021 14:11

Ah ha sorry I misunderstood. Yes time to get back in touch with everyone, I'm sure your friends will have missed you. I hope it helps you being back on the ADHD meds too.

ponkydonkey · 06/12/2021 19:52

So pleased Op I was a bit worried but seems you've come out the other side
Well done took strength 💪🏻

Confusedandtired21 · 06/12/2021 23:13

Alcohol services (achieve) said I need counselling, but cmht said no, so hard to know who to listen too!

OP posts:
Confusedandtired21 · 06/12/2021 23:20

And the boiler isn’t working but can’t sort till tomorrow because it isn’t an emergency apparently, it’s freezing!

OP posts:
Confusedandtired21 · 06/12/2021 23:51

She’s going to ring my cpn, because I’m not dependant on alcohol, so she said it’s not an alcohol problem it’s a mental health problem and said that my cpn should have been doing more lol ( she also recognised that when I say things I lose the emotion behind it and sound robotic so none takes me seriously… that’s the asd) but she thinks I need counselling. So we shall see what happens! Lol
