Can someone 'sit' with me?

I have MH problems. This week I've been especially unwell.

It's all come to a head tonight. And I'm wanting to SH.

I don't really know exactly what I'm wanting from this thread. I feel incredibly lonely and I'm struggling with all my thoughts. I don't know what to do.

Can someone keep me company please?

Milkybar is my favourite!

Youtwohumpedcamel · 20/01/2019 21:10

I actually went to look at the moon as it's lighting my kitchen up. It's lovely.

I've tried mindfulness before and struggle with it. I also have OCD and get obtrusive obsessions with numbers.

I feel confused

Ah great, now I have the Milkybar song stuck in my head...

"The Milkybar kid is strong and tough, and nothing else is good enough... MILKY BARS ARE ON ME!"

Hmm12121 · 20/01/2019 21:11

Room for another? I love Milkybar! Haven’t had it in years.....yum!
Is there anyone in real life you can call? I have to make myself do this when I’m struggling but I do find it’s helps when I do.
It’s so hard to make yourself do something when you feel this way isn’t it. It’s probably the best thing, to keep busy, but I know I end up just sitting.
It will pass, lovely. Just keep sitting and chatting until you are tired enough to sleep x

genieinajar · 20/01/2019 21:11

Massive hugs. My mum has a history of mh problems. Please open up and talk to someone about how you feel better it a friend, sibling, samaritans.

Disfordarkchocolate · 20/01/2019 21:12

Make 'strong and tough' your mantra for the evening. Off to see the moon now.

ladybee28 · 20/01/2019 21:12

It's OK to feel confused, @Youtwohumpedcamel – feel how you're feeling, be where you're at.

It's uncomfortable, but it's OK – and we're all here to hold your hand.

Hmm12121 · 20/01/2019 21:12

I’m not great with mindfulness either. But I do find a meditation on my phone helps. Deep breathing always helps my anxiety, even if it’s only a few minutes sometimes.

UrsulaPandress · 20/01/2019 21:13

The moon is bloody fabulous tonight. I was driving West to East earlier and it kept randomly appearing. Looking forward to the blood moon later in the week.

ladybee28 · 20/01/2019 21:14

There's an eclipse tonight, no? Or is that just in my part of the world (I'm not in the UK)?

Livingthedream12345 · 20/01/2019 21:15

Budge up...break me off a chunk of milky bar please....I've bought a brought along some nice crisps to share too...

XmasPostmanBos · 20/01/2019 21:15

Well apparently it's a giant blood wolf moon! And you will see an eclipse of it at around 4am-6am if you are awake. I sounds very exciting but I am told no vampires or werewolves are involved Angry

courderoy · 20/01/2019 21:15

Isn’t there an eclipse st some point? Think it might be 4am though...

Youtwohumpedcamel · 20/01/2019 21:15

My friend bought me milky bar, Maltesers chocolate and areo chocolate as a thank you.

I just need to calm down enough to put erm things away. That's my first step I think.

I'm so grateful you're all here, there's room for every one

Cuppa anyone? Hey OP, you're totally not alone. Biscuit

Hmm12121 · 20/01/2019 21:16

Ooh, I need to pick up teenager in a bit —doesn’t he understand I’m feeling coldy rubbish and want to go to bed....teenagers and their social lives— I’m going to look at the moon!

XmasPostmanBos · 20/01/2019 21:17

I'd love a cuppa Brew

Hmm12121 · 20/01/2019 21:18

Just don’t put the choc away! 🍫

Disfordarkchocolate · 20/01/2019 21:18

I'd love a cuppa and some malteasers, may have to make do with a snickers though.

courderoy · 20/01/2019 21:19

I’ve gone to bed. It’s warm and cosy.

You can put them away when you are ready OP. That was nice of your friend

Youtwohumpedcamel · 20/01/2019 21:20

I might be up at that time. I'll remember to have a peek.

I have a few friends, and they'd be happy to help but I really struggle to open up, or I try and don't actually tell them how bad I'm doing. I have the crisis team number but nothing really they can do. I have my CPN coming tomorrow.
