Clean fast vs not clean fast for weight loss

If I’m fasting 90% for weight loss rather than the other health benefits does it really matter if I have milk in my tea when im still in my fasting window?

I can go for quite a long time not eating breakfast and have a late lunch as long as I can have a few cups of tea and can’t imagine that will make a massive difference to weight loss but could someone enlighten me please?!

It worked for me. I read something that said its better to have a little milk if it means you can stay focused on your goal. I have 33 calories during my fasting window. I realise it's therefore not a proper fast but it's helped me go from a size 16/14 to a size 6 and maintained for over a year.

Purely anecdotal evidence but having milk in hot drinks makes no difference to me. I know theoretically having them black ‘should’ make it easier not to feel hungry for longer but I actually find it the other way around - that I’m more satisfied when I have a few hot drinks with milk during the morning and can easily last longer. I tried the other way for a week and it just didn’t do it for me.

Thanks both, you’ve confirmed what I was thinking.

I totally agree @OneDayIWillLearn having milky tea definitely stops me feeling hungry
Better to be imperfect but stick with it than perfect and have to give up.

Totally agree.
I've been doing the 14:10 for about 6 weeks and intend it to be a lifestyle change, so a long term thing.. Can manage the 14 hrs no problems with tea with milk, and some times longer. Not so without.
Let's not call it perfect and imperfect as that is the language of eating disorder.
I think that it's like a recipe; you follow the rules to start with, then adjust slightly to suit your individual taste.
I also have wine a couple of nights a week during the fasting window as changing my social life isn't something I want to do. I'm not on it to lose weight, but have shed about 5 pounds, and plateaued - I suspect I won't lose any more now.
