Fasting / 5:2 diet

Talk about intermittent fasting and 5:2, including what’s worked for others. Mumsnet hasn't checked the qualifications of anyone posting here. You may wish to speak to a medical professional before starting any diet.

Can you recommend a free app for IF?

I’d like to start intermittent fasting to help shift some of the 4 stone I need to lose, but most of the apps I’ve looked at want you to pay monthly for a whole plan. Can anyone recommend a free app that’ll let me track my weight and a 16:8 eating pattern?

I use Life fasting (to log hours) and My fitness pal (to log calories). Following recommendations on here (don't remember the thread but you could try scanning back -try around May time). It obviously doesn't link them together but it's worked for me.

I use Zero for tracking my fasting times. You don't need to subscribe - the free stuff is more than enough. There's articles to read and challenges you can take part in to help keep you motivated and on track.

You can log your meals, and your sleep hours, if you want. The only thing it doesn't do is track calories, but I don't do that anyway.

I use fasting tracker (which reminds me I need to restart!!) IF really worked for me and I found it easy but I lost momentum on holiday!
