Milk in coffee-

I'm trying to kick start my fasting today with the hope of losing a few stone. I did fasting years ago and it seemed to work but what I want to know is do any of you have just one coffee in the morning with a splash of milk? I absolutely no that the hard core way to fast is by only drinking water and black coffee but I was wondering if anyone has had results with just one coffee with milk before opening window.

My schedule will be 1- 6

Yes absolutely I do. I've done in both ways, 'properly' with drinking only black coffee in the mornings and 'cheating' with a little splash of milk, I do think I saw better/quicker results the 'proper' way but to be honest I'm fairly sure that's because at that time I was also being much stricter/healthier in general with things like portion control, exercise etc so I doubt it was the tiny number of cals I was having in coffee that made the difference. If it makes it more sustainable for you then do it, as fasting for me has become much more of a way of life than a 'diet' per se, and I really don't think I could stick it without my morning coffee the way I like it...

My parents still have milk in their tea when fasting and have lost weight.

I drink black coffee and water only. Having milk in a drink is not technically a ‘clean’ fast and might make it harder. But worth a try especially when starting out.

I hated black coffee to begin with.

Honestly, just give it a go with some really good quality coffee (not instant) and switching to black isn't difficult.

I now much prefer it and I never imagined I'd say that. It tastes really pure and clean. It's saving me money and calories on the oat milk I used to go through too!

I drink quite a lot of teas with milk, I’m losing just over a lb a week (after an initial drop) I’m only a few weeks in though so will be trying to reduce the milk in my tea at some point and then get rid. I’m easy about it, it’s more important to me that I restrict eating times atm for me.
