Hi everyone!

As the title suggests, I was referred by my doctor to see a dietitian and to start she suggested I try the 5:2 diet. I am 17st 9lbs and 5'6. I was told to eat 500 calories for 2 non-consecutive days and 1500 on the other 5 days. I'm quite nervous about the 500 calorie days so was hoping I could have some advice on starting and sticking to it. Any meal ideas would be a bonus too! I'm desperate to get this weight off as it's affecting my daily life and making me miserable. TIA x

I did start last week but then came down with the flu and it just kinda went out of the window! I'm gonna start again next week when I'm feeling better. I did 1 day at 500 and it surprisingly wasn't too bad!

1500 seems low in itself but I would say you need to eat lots of foods that are high in protein to keep you feeling fuller, lots of water will help too. Good luck
