Ooooh poop - that’s why !

backstory : So for years my husband has enjoyed doing the cooking I have gained a few pounds… so we talked, bought the Diet 800 the books ( blue and red) and Renpho scales and I can’t work out why I’m still the same or even gaining a couple of pounds … when others dieting this way lose loads.

So today I actually compared the book with what he puts on the plate…. He adds stuff ! Lots of stuff ! Every flipping time !

I’m such a twerp I should have realised.

I know he says I’m fine as I am, but really !

Technically I’m just on the 24.9 bmi so not actually too bad - but wanted to shed about 14-18 pounds.

I’m cross with myself for letting this happen. Looks like I'm going to have to take back my kitchen ! Just wanted to vent !
Thanks for reading !

Do you mean that he adds more food so that the portions are bigger or that he adds stuff like carbs to it? You should still lose on a higher calorie but low carb diet but if he’s sneaking high carb stuff on there, it will probably be tough. Definitely safest to do your own cooking! Good luck!

Adding carbs, doubling portion sizes, serving with bread and dips you name it he doesn't it ! I e been fighting a lost cause.

Oh no! Definitely do your own cooking then. People who don’t get the principles will think there’s nothing wrong with the odd extra here and there but you need to be pretty strict at the beginning. I have lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks on this (only 3 weeks on 800 cals though) - it’s great.

Oh well done ! That's amazing !
Yes I'm going to take back a bit of control . Fingers crossed.
