Will marmite break a fast?

I’m doing my first 18 hours today and I’m 16 hours in, it’s going good.

Will a little marmite break a fast if I use that for my salt replacement rather than just taking a little bit of salt? Is much rather have the marmite tbh Grin

I realise this is late now, but for future reference I'd say no, you are fine (assuming you are just having the marmite on its own, not the accompanying toast/butter/crumpets/muffin!). I sometimes have a splash of milk in a hot drink and don't count that as breaking a fast either so I'm not the strictest but I can't imagine there's more than say 2 or 3 cals in a tsp of marmite and minimal carbs/sugar so you should be absolutely A-OK, marmite away!

Thank you I wasn’t sure. No defo not with the accompaniments 😂😂

It’s 1cal per tsp but it will literally be a finger dip rather than a tbs just saves me just taking some plain sea salt when I’m feeling wobbly.

I did read the ingredients it’s literally is yeast and vitamins.

I did my first 23 hour fast yesterday and feel great for it!
