Hi just wondering if you do 5:2 fasting what type of tea can you have on fast days? I like a peppermint and liquorice tea that Tesco do would that be ok to drink? Thank you (new to this)

I was under the impression that any black or green tea or herbal tea is fine as long as it has no sugar, sweeteners or milk in it. I'm not sure about fruit tea though. I drink black tea without milk, green tea, peppermint, chamomile or rooibos.

Hi as per PP any herbal tea or anything without milk or sugar is fine - I mainly have black coffee or green tea. It's also fine if you prefer 'regular' tea with milk/sugar to have that so long as you count it within your overall 500 cals for the day. Or even if not, the odd dash of milk is not going to harm your overall weight loss so if that's what you need to get you through without hitting the biscuits then do it - being overly strict on yourself is the enemy of long term success IMO - do watch the sugar though!
