Blood Sugar Dieters help me please!

I’m started the Blood Sugar Diet tomorrow - I’ve purchased the books and done my meal plan for the week. I have PCOS, high blood sugars due to insulin resistance and I just need to lose weight and be healthier. I have a massive gunt but relatively slim everywhere else. I’ve previously done slimming world etc and managed to lose 2 stone but ended up filling myself up on packet pasta ‘n sauce and other crap.

I don’t have the will power to fast on 800 calories every day, so I’m starting with the 5:2 option and fasting for 2 days on 800 calories.

Can you critique a part of my meal plan? Ignore the Metformin, it's a reminder to have it! Blush

Tuesday – (FAST) 800 Calories
Breakfast – Total Greek Yoghurt and Chia Seeds, Metformin
Lunch – No Carb Ploughmans Metformin
Dinner – Chilli Garlic Prawns Metformin

Wednesday

Breakfast – black coffee, poached eggs & asparagus spears, Metformin
Lunch – Halloumi & Chorizo Salad with lettuce, olives, cucumber and olive oil, Metformin
Dinner – Thai Spicy Pork & Cauliflower Rice, Metformin

Can you have protein shakes with water on this diet?

Also, any success stories fire across to keep me motivated Smile

I found the myfitnesspal app really useful - it's free to download and use. Just plug in all the foods you've listed above (or scan the barcode on the packaging) and it calculates the calories and even the fat/sugar/carb/etc breakdown. You can set the target amount of each and it warns you if you exceed it.

I tried my fitness pal but couldn't get on with it and I've purchased nutracheck now.

I hate not knowing what I'm doing with diets, feel like I'm already setting myself up to fail!

Thank you Smile

I’ve just eaten the Lamb Tagine from Blood Sugar diet book. Delicious, although I added extra meat. Also made the chicken/mushroom pie, skinny lasagne, skinny shepherds pie, fish dish (can’t remember it’s name).
